{"id":1490,"date":"2021-06-07T08:00:28","date_gmt":"2021-06-07T07:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.slcproperty.co.uk\/?p=1490"},"modified":"2021-06-07T08:00:28","modified_gmt":"2021-06-07T07:00:28","slug":"slc-property-supports-major-rail-scheme-with-its-transport-and-works-act-order","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pennstudiostaging.co.uk\/slc-property-2025\/slc-property-supports-major-rail-scheme-with-its-transport-and-works-act-order\/","title":{"rendered":"SLC Property supports major rail scheme with its Transport and Works Act Order"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SLC Property has supported Northumberland County Council with its Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) application to the Secretary of State, marking the next stage towards the reopening of passenger rail services on the Northumberland Line.<\/p>\n<p>The project will see 18 miles of track upgraded, six new stations opened and is expected to deliver economic benefits of up to \u00a3470m.<\/p>\n<p>Russell Mills, Senior Property Manager at SLC Property said:\u00a0\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s been fantastic to work with Northumberland County Council and partners on this key milestone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new line is so important for the region and we\u2019re looking forward to continuing to help the project navigate through all the regulation and procedures involved in a scheme like this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Council Leader Glen Sanderson said: \u201cThis is a vital stage of works to deliver this transformational project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe submission of the Transport and Works Act Order is a culmination of many months of work developing the scheme and I\u2019d like to thank everyone who\u2019s supported the project so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce completed, the new railway will connect communities and businesses along the route and beyond, creating new opportunities for jobs, housing, education and economic growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SLC Property work extensively with Compulsory Purchase Orders and Transport and Works Act Orders and can advise both on the scope of a CPO\/TWAO and also their implementation in terms of settlement of compensation claims.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM and SLC are working together to provide multidisciplinary project management, design, operations and advisory services to deliver the design phase of the Northumberland Line.    \t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SLC Property has supported Northumberland County Council with its Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) application to the Secretary of State, marking the next stage towards the reopening of passenger rail services on the Northumberland Line.
