{"id":1748,"date":"2021-11-04T17:19:32","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T17:19:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.slcproperty.co.uk\/?p=1748"},"modified":"2021-11-04T17:19:32","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T17:19:32","slug":"planning-permission-granted-for-two-new-stations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pennstudiostaging.co.uk\/slc-property-2025\/planning-permission-granted-for-two-new-stations\/","title":{"rendered":"Planning permission granted for two new stations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The opening of the Northumberland Line is a step closer following the approval of planning permission for two new railway stations at Bedlington and Seaton Delaval on 2 November.<\/p>\n<p>SLC Property is supporting Northumberland County Council by submitting and managing the planning applications and associated property aspects needed for the new line.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Smart, Managing Director of SLC Property said:\u00a0\u201cThe Northumberland Line will radically improve transport connectivity in the region and our team has been working very hard on these applications.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll planning applications have now been submitted and we\u2019re delighted that four out of the six stations have now been approved for construction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reopening of the Northumberland Line\u00a0will deliver\u00a018 miles of upgraded track, six new stations,\u00a0associated access improvements\u00a0and new signal locations.<\/p>\n<p>Ashington and Northumberland Line received planning approval earlier this year.\u00a0 Two further stations are planned at Bebside and Newsham in Blyth and will be considered by planners in due course.<\/p>\n<p>The whole scheme is expected to deliver economic benefits of up to \u00a3470m\u00a0and is due to be open by 2024.    \t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The opening of the Northumberland Line is a step closer following the approval of planning permission for two new railway stations at Bedlington and Seaton Delaval on 2 November.
