{"id":2197,"date":"2023-12-14T16:00:41","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T16:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.slcproperty.co.uk\/?p=2197"},"modified":"2023-12-14T16:00:41","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T16:00:41","slug":"slc-property-commissioned-to-work-on-wirral-borough-councils-regeneration-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pennstudiostaging.co.uk\/slc-property-2025\/slc-property-commissioned-to-work-on-wirral-borough-councils-regeneration-project\/","title":{"rendered":"SLC Property commissioned to work on Wirral Borough Council\u2019s regeneration project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SLC Property has been appointed by Wirral Borough Council to work on the Dock Branch Park project, which will see a disused and overgrown railway line transformed into an urban park.<\/p>\n<p>The multi-disciplinary property consultancy will provide land acquisition services regarding the land transfer of the former Dock Branch Line and will also advise on the impacts and liabilities of a number of railway structures associated with the area.<\/p>\n<p>Julie Throssell, Director of SLC Property said: \u201cAny project on or near the railway \u2013 even if it is disused \u2013 can involve complicated land matters and we\u2019re committed to helping our clients overcome these challenges.\u00a0 We\u2019re really excited to be supporting Wirral Borough Council on such an exciting regeneration project, which will help transform Birkenhead town centre and be a destination for residents and tourists to the area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Dock Branch Park proposals will bring to life the disused railway line between Green Lane Station to Tower Road. The line is thought to be one of the oldest stretches of track in the world but has been closed since the early 1990s. The plans for Dock Branch Park would see the route brought back into use to benefit communities.<\/p>\n<p>The project will also allow for a defined route for walking, cycling and public transport through the centre, along the disused railway track, in an attractively designed, central linear park, connecting the town in the first phase to the key regeneration schemes at Wirral Waters and Hind Street.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;    \t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SLC Property has been appointed by Wirral Borough Council to work on the Dock Branch Park project, which will see a disused and overgrown railway line transformed into an urban park.
