University College Birmingham – Creating a state of the art Cyber Security Lab

Cyber Security is a major issue in modern society which has driven a huge demand for new workers in this area. To meet demand, University College Birmingham (UCB) offer a dedicated Cyber Security course to open up a wide range of career opportunities for students.

UCB wanted to create a brand new dedicated Cyber Security Lab and were looking to refurbish a room located in the Camden House Campus. 

University of Sunderland / Roche AV Pro – Campus wide seminar room renovation

The University recently underwent a campus wide project to renovate 80 of its classroom and seminar spaces. They wanted to improve the style, aesthetics and overall quality of their learning facilities across site to help meet the University’s long term vision and introduce lecture capture systems to improve the quality of online content and facilitate remote working for students.

Northumbria Health & Wellbeing Centre

We recently worked with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust on a dedicated space focused on improving staff wellbeing in their new Healthcare and Wellbeing Centre.

This new building would help provide staff with a relaxing area for meetings and training sessions and a break away from the ever-busy hospital environment.

Ulster University – Effective Active Learning Environments

We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Ulster University and Pure AV to provide a flexible and active learning solution for a new teaching space.

The University wanted to introduce a solution to help facilitate multiple teaching styles by supporting small collaborative group working as well as presenting to large groups of students.

They also wanted to offer the ability to adapt to any future teaching requirements by redeploying these screens to different spaces throughout the new campus where there were no existing screens on the wall.

Derby College Group – Creating the right Esports space

We were recently approached by Derby College, who were looking to create and launch a space that would be used in conjunction with one of their first ever Esports courses.

The college wanted to see if we could assist in designing the new space and work together to combine our experience in education with gaming influences to create the Esports “look and feel” that they wanted. TOP-TEC happily took up the challenge, providing students with an environment where they could be fully immersed in the Esports gaming culture.

Cardiff University – Creating engaging + dynamic learning environments

We recently collaborated with Cardiff University to develop some exciting spaces in the new ABACWS building.

For this particular project we focused on two rooms, a large Collaborative IT Space and a Cyber Forensics Lab. For the IT Space, the University wanted to employ an ‘all eyes on the lecturer’ style, which required students to maintain eye contact when the lecturer is presenting at all times whilst avoiding fixed screens which would obscure the line of site.

University of Greenwich – Collaborative Learning Spaces

TOP-TEC provided a collaborative learning solution for ten group study rooms in the Stockwell Street Building situated at the Greenwich Campus.

University of Greenwich had previously collaborated with TOP-TEC on several other projects which required a solution specifically tailored to their requirements that fulfilled key criteria. University of Greenwich wanted to engage with a trusted furniture solution provider that could create a bespoke solution.

Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital Library

TOP-TEC recently provided workspace solutions for a new library development at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital. The Hospital wanted to create 3 distinct spaces in the library; an open plan study area that could be used for collaborative, ICT, and non-ICT based activities, a quiet study space and a bookable meeting room that doubled as an additional workspace.
