Site Assessment and Soil Evaluation
We assess your site conditions to understand the ground you’re building on – soil type, bearing capacity, water table, slope, access constraints, and any environmental restrictions such as tree preservation orders or contaminated land. For larger projects, this may include GPR (ground penetration radar) surveys to identify underground services and obstructions before work begins.
Foundation Design and Pile Configuration
Based on your structural engineer’s load requirements, we develop an optimised foundation layout. For helical screw piles, this includes shaft diameter, helix configuration, installation depth, pile spacing, and required installation torque. For ground screws, we recommend the right product size, length, and bracket system. Every design is site-specific – we don’t work from generic templates.
Load-Bearing Calculations
We work with your project team to ensure the foundation design meets the specified load requirements – compression, tension, lateral, and shear as applicable. Our designs are developed to comply with relevant codes and standards, and we provide the data in a format that integrates with your structural engineer’s calculations.
Pile Cap Design and Steel Fabrication
For helical screw pile projects requiring pile caps, we provide engineered pile cap designs that ensure efficient load transfer from your structure into the piles below. We also handle steel fabrication and sub-base supply in-house, so the whole foundation package comes from one team.
GPS Mark Out
Before installation, we carry out GPS-driven mark out to position every pile precisely according to the design layout. Accurate positioning from the start means fewer issues during the build and a smoother handover to the next trade on site.
